This is the Lifespace kukri — a forward-weighted chopping knife that earns its keep around the fire, in the field, and at camp.
The curved blade is made for the jobs a regular chef’s knife wasn’t designed for: splitting kindling, clearing brush, breaking down game, hacking through joints, and handling the heavy outdoor work before you even start cooking.
AUS-10 is a premium high-carbon Japanese stainless steel (produced by Aichi Steel) that delivers an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. With roughly 0.95–1.1% carbon plus vanadium and molybdenum, it holds a keen edge through real use, shrugs off rain and blood better than carbon steel, and remains easy to sharpen on a standard stone when you get home.
Full tang from tip to pommel. Dark wood handle with brass pins and a steel butt cap. Lanyard hole already fitted with cord. The sheath is tooled leather with a dragon design, brass snaps, and a turquoise concho — built to ride a belt or pack without looking cheap.
Use it to process a deer, portion a brisket off the block, knock out camp prep, or keep it in the trailer as the one blade that can do almost everything.
Hand wash and dry thoroughly after use. Wipe down after contact with blood, salt, or acidic foods. Periodically oil the blade and leather sheath. Sharpen as you would any quality outdoor knife to maintain the edge.
